Introducing Committee Member Linda Bowden

We are pleased to introduce the members of the GKWC Garden of Roses 2016 Roses & Pearls Champagne Brunch & Auction Event Planning Committee. Through a series of  questions and answers, you’ll meet Club members who may have served on the committee in the past, as well as new members who are assuming roles for the first time.

Say hello to Linda Bowden, the 2016 Garden of Roses Event Treasurer.

  • How long have you been a member of GKWC? Since 1992.
  • How did you hear about GKWC and what prompted you to join?  Debbie Reynolds took me to a meeting and told me that I needed to join, so I did!
  • Is this the first time you've volunteered for the Garden of Roses fundraising committee?  No
  • If not, list other volunteer roles have you held with prior Garden of Roses fashion shows/fundraisers?  I've co-chaired the event three times, served as Live Auction & Raffle chair and Tickets for several years.
  • What are you most looking forward to with the 2016 fundraiser and your role?  A new experience and I'm looking forward to it.
The next time you see Linda, please join us in thanking her for her countless years of service and continuing to volunteer her time and talents and support for GKWC and the community.

We are especially excited about our new online capabilities which will make it easier and more convenient for our supporters to either "Become A Sponsor" or "Donate to the Auction".

Click here to Become A Sponsor and showcase your business through a sponsorship with benefits based on the level of sponsorship* to include significant media recognition through the event publicity, your logo and link on the GKWC website and fundraising promotional & event materials, complimentary tickets to the event, and more.

We are aware that many companies plan their community commitments as part of their annual budget. Therefore, we hope that you will review the sponsorship opportunity levels that meet your budget and philanthropic mission. To recognize how worthwhile this event is, please click here for a list of past beneficiaries.

With the proceeds from the 2015 Garden of Roses Fashion Gala we donated $79,000 in grants and scholarships to local non-profit organizations and KISD graduating seniors. Over the last 20 years we are excited to announce we have donated over $1,100,000 back to the community. This amazing feat would not be possible without contributions from individuals and businesses in our community

The Greater Keller Women’s Club Foundation, which makes charitable donations based on the event’s profits, is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization; therefore your sponsorship or donation is tax-deductible. We are extremely proud that we were able to return 98% of our net revenue to our philanthropic endeavors last year.

If you have any questions about sponsorship or donation opportunities, please feel free to call Beth Murray at 817.501.3879 or Kimberley Vines at 940.782.9448. Thank you for your consideration and support and we look forward to distributing more funds with your gracious support.
